Godeys Ladys Book 1863
Color copies of all twelve color plates form the 1863 volume of Godeys Ladys
Book. These are the plates reproduced on photo grade paper and mounted on to
card stock. On the back is a description of each dress by Mr. Godey, as copied
out of the original magazines.
Parasol, Long handle with small parasol top. Satin-like polyester cover
can be dressed up with lace and garnishments or re-covered to make a nice period

Battenberg Lace Parasol, 100% cotton cover with 5" of lace around

Ladies
Cotton Stockings, 100% mercerized cotton. Thigh high, requires roll garter
below. Colors- Black, White, Beige
Sizes are not based on foot size. 8 1/2 fits small feet and 11 will fit a ladies
shoe size 12.

Garters, Cotton covered elastic roll type. Correct for above hose- specify

Cotton Stockings with Stripes. Each stocking is hand made on an antique
sock loom. 100% cotton with a small amount of elastic added at the top to stay
up. No need for garters.
These are knee high stocking in a correct period striped pattern. many styles

period material, but they look great and are an inexpensive alternative. A ribbon

Ladies Work Shoe, black or brown, pegged soles.(Suitable for women's
wear). These are the same as our dress brogans, only in women's sizes. Smooth
or Rough side out. We need a foot tracing and any necessary measurements to
make them fit correctly the first time. 4-6 weeks delivery. We have lasts for
men's sizes from 3 1/2 -15 on hand. To convert from ladies shoes, subtract 1

Ladies High Top Boots, High top lace up like the original style. Sewn

Our hoops have draw string waist. We usually
have ruffled hoops in stock.
All hoops are cotton covered steel boning (Some have Plastic Boning, depending
on the maker) and a full cotton shell covering. All have a drawstring waist
and one flounce at the bottom. Maximum waist size for standard hoops is 40".
The hoop diameter is variable by adjusting the boning inside the cover. The
circumferences are approximate.
Length is waist to ankle, (Child's Hoop is waist to knee). Regular length
for standard hoops is 39".
Child's Three Bone. 71" Circumference. Length 23". Great for
girls up to around age 10.................................POR
Four Bone Plain..124" Circumference. For very plain dresses. Beginners
usually like this one due to the lower price.....POR
Four Bone Plain.. 90" Circumference. Great for Smaller diameter
dresses such as working women or more

and not as supportive as the six bone hoop below.
If your seamstress says you need a five bone hoop, please select the six bone
hoop. It is a better value for the same price.

versatile hoop. Plenty of support for any dress, and a nice bell

Ruffled hoops have a ruffle covering the boning. This helps hide the boning
and eliminates one or two "over the hoop" petticoats.
Descriptions for use are as above. The six bone hoops are our best sellers in
ruffled hoops.
The actual circumfrence of our Six Bone Hoop with ruffles is 160"
The current five and six bone ruffled hoops that we sell
have three individual ruffles that adequately covers all five or six bones.
